Philatelic societies
Philatelic societies are at the heart of local philatelic life, bringing collectors together and playing a fundamental role in promoting philatelic culture. Those listed here are active and well-established organisations, involved in organising initiatives, exhibitions and events, as well as encouraging discussion and the exchange of knowledge among collectors.
Federation of Italian Philatelic Societies
Coordinating body for Italian philatelic associations and societies.
Empoli Philatelic and Numismatic Society
Founded in 1963, it organises the annual exhibition-fair “Emporium”, held in September.
Valdera Collectors’ Group – Capannoli
Founded in 1995, it organises the annual “Valderaphil” collectors’ fair, held in February.
“Benedetto Varchi” Philatelic, Numismatic and Hobbies Society
Founded in 1976, it organises various activities with a particular focus on young people.
Philatelic associations
Philatelic associations are active in promoting study, research and the protection of philately. They represent recognised points of reference for institutional activity, coordination among associations and support for the collecting community, including in specialised or sector-specific fields of study.
