A life dedicated to philately
My passion for philately began in childhood, leafing through my uncle’s albums. What started as a simple hobby gradually developed, over the years, into a true professional vocation which, in 1993, led me to take over a historic shop in my home town and to begin working as a philatelic dealer.
In 2000 I brought my experience into the digital world, creating one of the first Italian e-commerce websites dedicated to philately: David’s Filatelica. Following a family event, I interrupted this activity in 2011. Only after several years, with effort but renewed awareness, did I rediscover my original passion.
Over time, my relationship with philately has changed: from an instinctive passion it has become a more conscious and reflective interest. No longer simply the pleasure of collecting, but the desire to understand the historical, human and cultural context that every stamp and every postal document carries with it.
Encouraged by my friend Franco Moscadelli, with whom I collaborated for three years, since September 2026 I have devoted myself professionally to philatelic expert, placing my experience and competence at the service of collectors in the identification, authentication and analysis of stamps and letters from the Italian area.
My education has developed through in-depth studies of postal history, printing techniques and paper. Over the years, I have built a specialist library of more than 300 volumes. This path has led to regular collaborations with auction houses, philatelic associations and private collectors, both nationally and internationally.

I have been active in the world of philately for over 30 years: first as a dealer, now as a specialised philatelic expert, with an extensive knowledge of Italian stamps and postal history.
Auction house consultant
I regularly collaborate with some of the leading Italian and European auction houses in the analysis and authentication of important lots from the classic Italian area.
Support for collectors
I assist collectors by providing support with historical research, exhibition planning and the preparation of collections for philatelic competitions.
I am particularly specialised in:
Classical philately: Old Italian States, Vittorio Emanuele II and Umberto I, with meticulous analysis of printings, papers and colours
Postal history: Old Italian States and the Kingdom of Italy from 1861 to 1900, with a focus on postal rates, routes and the history of the period
Valuation: appraisal of important private collections for sale or estate division
